Ganderbal, Oct 26 (KNO): Secretary Tourism, Avny Lavasa, on Monday said that issues related to electricity supply, snow clearance and other requirements would be taken up with the Ganderbal district administration to ensure smooth tourism activities during the upcoming winter season in Sonamarg. Talking to reporters here Lavasa, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said, representatives of the Hotel and Market Association met her and raised several concerns, particularly regarding power supply and snow clearance during the winter. "These issues require coordination among multiple departments. We will take them up with the district administration and make every possible effort to support winter tourism activities and the local tourism industry," she said. Lavasa said the government would examine the concerns raised by local stakeholders and take necessary measures to promote tourism in the area. Regarding the sewage treatment facility, she said the plant was expected to be commissioned soon and would help ensure scientific treatment of sewage and septage waste.
